About

“In Suits at common law, where the value in controversy shall exceed twenty dollars, the right of trial by jury shall be preserved, and no fact tried by a jury, shall be otherwise re-examined in any Court of the United States, than according to the rules of the common law.”

Americans are losing a basic constitutional right to a jury trial by their peers without realizing that the right is being taken away. While a majority of Americans believe that the right to trial by jury is vital to the Bill of Rights, most do not know that there has been a dramatic reduction in the number of civil jury trials.

Save Our Juries informs the American public of why the Seventh Amendment matters and gives real-life stories of justice of when Americans used the jury trial to defend themselves or are victims of wrongdoing.

Save Our Juries is sponsored by ABOTA (American Board of Trial Advocates), which was founded in 1958 and is comprised of some of the most respected plaintiff and defense civil attorneys in the country. ABOTA created Save Our Juriesto educate and mobilize citizens in the fight to save our disappearing SeventhAmendment right. Our mission is to protect and preserve the civil jury system.
